Risks inherent in activities
22 February 2023
Here are the risks inherent in activities that are part of the Inukshuk adventure program
- Injuries due to a fall or other movement (spraining, spraying, fracture, etc.)
- Injury with a bruising or cutting object (branches, equipment, etc.)
- Cold or hypothermia/ burn or heat -resistant disorders
- Injuries resulting from accidental contact or not between individuals
- Allergies, bite, hanging clothes
- I am aware that the activities offered by Inukshuk Aventure take place in semi-natural or natural, possibly rugged environments which, consequently, are more distant from medical services. This state of affairs could lead to longer deadlines during an emergency requiring an evacuation, and therefore a possible worsening of my state or my injury.
- And, at the same time, I authorize Inukshuk adventure to provide all the necessary first aid. I also authorize Inukshuk adventure to make the decision in the event of an accident to transport me (by ambulance, helicopter or otherwise) to a hospital or community health, all, if applicable, to my own costs.
- I also give the Inukshuk adventure authorization to use all photos and videos taken by said company, in which I would appear.
- I declare that I was not under the effect of any drugs, alcohol, and medication. I agree to respect all the instructions that could be transmitted to us by management and/or Inukshuk adventure employees and to adopt a preventive attitude towards me as well as with regard to other participants. The guide reserves the right to exclude anyone he deems representing a risk for him/him or for the rest of the group.
- During your activity, you may witness a fight, do not panic, your guide will take care of it. Injuries may seem important to you, they will be assessed and neat in the kennel. Sometimes a small injury can bleed a lot, but is only superficial. It can be impressive, especially on white snow. These are animals and it can happen sometimes.
- You may also witness a mating or refusal to cooperate dogs, this can occasionally happen. This is things we try to avoid active, but it may happen anyway. Other elements such as, the state of the trails, the temperature, the ability of other participants, etc. are events out of our control and this can reduce the time in the trail.
- No refund or recovery will be made.
